Serves

Float

Easy to perform thanks to a wide timing window, but not very fast.
If hit perfectly (within a 6 ms frame), it generates the classic “no-spin” float: the ball suddenly loses speed and trajectory, becoming unpredictable for the reception.

Roundhouse

A curved serve with spin. Faster than the float but with a tighter timing window. Its curved trajectory can catch defenders off guard.

Underhand

The classic underhand serve. Safe and simple, but predictable.
If executed perfectly, the ball goes so high it disappears from the screen: the defense loses sight of it, and when it falls back down it has a tricky, deceptive path.

Jump Serve

Powerful and spectacular, but requires maximum precision. When performed well, it can be devastating for the opponent’s reception.

All serves, when perfectly executed, become special shots with a glowing trail and higher unpredictability.

Spikes & Tricks

Spike

When you set the ball close to the net, you can perform a spike. To spike, press the button. Use the directional arrow to choose between a short or long shot.

Pipe

When the setter sends the ball to the back row, you can perform a pipe attack. To spike, press the button. Use the directional arrow to choose between a short or long shot. The pipe has a more horizontal trajectory but is especially powerful.

Lob

Whether you’re spiking or going for a pipe, if the block is well positioned you can choose at the last moment to perform a lob. Use the button to lob the ball, and the directional arrow to place it short or long.

Dink

The dink is a soft touch used instead of a spike, dropping the ball just over the block. To perform a dink, press the button while holding the down arrow. It’s a very tricky move, especially in multiplayer 😉
